I find it's a serious condition that our school teaching system is living too far away from the real world since it put too much weight in theory-theory. It seems like those who has pasted English-pro.8 can not even be a translator----the result of Being away from Practice. Why? The one who gives tests doesn't know how to cope with practice, not to say pro. knowledge. However, the translation of Engineering technology dominates the most. EDT should've paid much more attention on this huge teaching market. The reason we are learning english is not for theory-theory,not for how it works like a smelly bullshit ; it's for our clients necessary in future, the huge and meaningful market out there infront of us. English training centers are everywhere nowadays, they are simply about Spoken Eng./Oral Class/CET4,6 Passed 100%/Eng. test of Postgraate Exam/Abroad training etc.,but what our society is looking for desperately---Engineering English, which doesn't even find a place in training class room.If we do want to be good at sth.,the right direction, the hardworking, the digging and digging, all by ourself is not enough, we need someone who gives tips. However, what bothers most is that there are so many who claimed themself as great in Foreign language---having received Award for XX test/Certificate of XXX...which gives their green light of being a translator, actually it does not. No matter it's written translation/Oral interpretation/Simultaneous interpreting, having a certificate doesn't mean having the ability, quit the opposite, those who have no certificate do much better than that.以上翻译全系本人自译,没有借助任何翻译工具。请楼主采纳。I think the academic theory has badly deviated from practice. They paid too much attention on basic theories. For example, someone who has passed so-called TEM 8, could not even be a good professional translator, namely passing the exam is not equal to being a translator. While some qualifed translator may not pass the exam. That is the result of theory deviation from practice. The examiners who set the questions may not have the practical ability, and further, may not have the professional technical knowledge. But the translation will be more focusing on engineering english at present. So the ecation department should carry out the teaching activities on this big market. We are learning english for customers, for market, not for academic, for theory, or even for the study of ponytail's functions. The english training in today's society will be merely listening and speaking traning, CEM 4 & 6 traning, and overseas study training, with no training for engineering english, which is very much in demand. To be the real master, one should find out the right way of learning, to think hard and study hard, to make everything by oneself, of course better with tutor's guide. But what it's worried that some people consider themselves to be very good at english. As long as getting whatever award or certificate, one could be translator. In fact, it's far beyond. No matter for written translation, oral interpretation or simultaneous interpretation, the one with the certificate may not be qualified, while the one without the certificate may be qualified.本回答被网友采纳
